Getting started
Word Explorer is an English word-search game with 60 themed levels: 20 each in Easy, Medium, and Hard. All levels are open to explore.
- Tap Start exploring on Home for a suggested puzzle, or browse the levels to choose your own.
- Find a word from the list, then swipe across its letters in one straight line. You can also tap the word’s first and last letters.
- Find every listed word to complete the puzzle and save your result.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my word selection not accepted?
Select a word from the puzzle’s list in a continuous straight line. Words may run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and you can select them in either direction. Avoid skipping letters or turning a corner. An incorrect selection clears so you can try again.
How do hints work?
Each new puzzle starts with 3 hints. Tap Hint to briefly reveal the first letter of an unfound word, then follow the letters to select the whole word yourself. A hint is used when you tap the button; it does not automatically complete the word.
Is there a time limit? Can I take a break?
There is no time limit. The timer measures active play. Tap Pause, then Resume when you are ready. The game also pauses when the app goes into the background.
How do I continue a puzzle or check my progress?
The app saves one unfinished puzzle at a time, including found words, remaining hints, and elapsed time. This puzzle and your completed-level results are saved locally on your device. Use Continue game on Home to return to your saved puzzle. You can replay levels and keep track of personal best times and stars.
Starting another level replaces your unfinished puzzle after confirmation. Restarting resets the current puzzle’s words, timer, and hints. Clear game progress in Settings removes your unfinished puzzle, level results, and game records after confirmation and cannot be undone. If progress changes unexpectedly, email support with the details below.
Can I change the language, sound, or haptic feedback?
Open Settings to choose English, Chinese, or Follow system for the interface. The puzzle words always remain English. You can also turn sound and haptic feedback on or off.
Can I play without an internet connection?
The word-search puzzles are available offline. To send a support email, you will need an email app or webmail service and an internet connection.
Report a problem
If the app crashes, a puzzle behaves unexpectedly, or something looks wrong, email rockchen20010321@gmail.com. Include:
- App version: for example, Word Explorer 1.0.0.
- Device and iOS version: your device model and the iOS version shown in Settings.
- What happened: what you expected, what you saw instead, and the steps that led to the issue.
- Puzzle details: the difficulty and level number, if relevant.
- Screenshots or a short screen recording: attach them to your email if they help show the issue. Remove any personal information you do not want to share.
The email links open your email app. If no app opens, copy the address above into your preferred email service. You can also use the same address to suggest a theme or share feedback.
